Food

We are a nut-free environment and a Healthy School, so ask that the girls have a healthy snack of fruit, cheese or something similar. Crisps and chocolate are not allowed.

Chef Fitz takes great pride in offering a tasty, balanced choice at lunchtime and all food is cooked from scratch in the school kitchen. There is a vegetarian and meat option almost every day, as well as jacket potatoes and salad bar.

At the request of the School Council, we have ‘Meat Free Mondays’ and on Friday, serve a relaxed fish or vegetarian choice. A selection of fresh slices fruit is available daily for desert, as well puddings two or three times a week. As good as chef’s curries and quiches are, everyone gets excited when Eton mess is on the menu!

Instead of queuing for lunch, dishes are brought to the table and served by teachers on crockery, with the older girls helping out. The girls enjoy eating together like a family.
