The Village Prep School welcomes Miss Morven MacDonald as the new Head from September 2021.

The Village Prep School welcomes Miss Morven MacDonald as the new Head from
September 2021. Morven is presently Assistant Head (academic) at Garden House School,
Chelsea. Against a very strong field of candidates for this post, Morven’s experience and her
understanding of the school’s ethos made her the ideal choice to carry the school into the
next phase of its educational, intellectual, moral and social journey.

Morven has a First Class Honours degree from Durham University in Education and
Psychology and a Masters in Transformational Leadership. She has a passion for education
theory and research and firmly believes in the importance of using this to guide decisions made in the classroom.

Regarding joining The Village Prep School, Morven says: “I am thrilled to be joining The Village Prep School and I look forward to working with staff and parents to provide the highest quality education for the children in the school.  It is a privilege to educate children and I firmly believe in The Village Prep’s ethos to nurture each and every child’s individual talents to ensure that they all achieve their full potential.”

Morven is originally from Scotland and attended Loretto School in Edinburgh.  She is a keen runner and also has a passion for dance, particularly Scottish dancing. I know that Morven will do a magnificent job at The Village Prep School, ensuring that it becomes the best school in NW3, and I wish her a very happy and productive time at the school.
